Colton will be here by 4/4/08

I had to go back to the doctor today–for some reason my legs turned purple last night. Who knows what happened though. She had me come in but they were fine. She went ahead and checked me and told me that we could go ahead and set up the induction if we wanted to. She has an opening on Friday so I took it. We will be at the hospital at 5:30 am to begin the process. Hopefully he will not be stubborn and will be born that day—he would have the same birthday as my adorable ring bearers if he comes out that day. We will keep you posted.

Update on Baby Crawford

We had our 37 week appointment today and she said that if we do not have him on our own by next Thursday then we will induce the next week. YAHOO!!! Looks like he will be here before his due date for sure. Daddy is just hoping that it is before the Masters starts on Thursday. We will set the date at our appointment on Thursday so we will keep you posted.

Congratulations to Larry and Ashley

Our friends Larry and Ashley gave birth to a healthy 6 lb 11 oz baby girl on Tuesday at 2:55 pm. We are so excited for you guys and can’t wait to meet Lacey. I plan to visit them this evening or tomorrow and then I will post pics. (FYI–Ashley was due 4 days before me but I guess Lacey had other plans for them.)

Almost 36 weeks!!

Well we are now 35 weeks and 5 days (picture is 2 days ago) and I am enjoying my last Spring Break as a teacher for a while. I am just relaxing at home and it is very nice. At my last appointment Dr. Schmidt said I am already dialating so we will possibly have this little guy early—I can’t say that I would be to dissapointed if we did. :) Cory got me a massage for Valentine’s Day so I started my Spring Break off with it yesterday and it was WONDERFUL!!!! We also went this weekend and got a new couch…I can’t wait for it to arrive. We are going to move the furniture from the den into the formal living and put the new couch in the den. It is a sectional and it is sooooo comfy!! We figured we will be spending a lot of time in here with the little guy so we wanted something to lounge around on. It should arrive in about 4 weeks….YAHOO!!

Baby Shower

We had our shower on Saturday, and all I can say is WOW! Laura, Caroline and Mom did an amazing job with everything for the shower….food, decorations, games and favors. Makes you realize what great friends you have when they go to so much trouble to make your day memorable and they truly did. I don’t know what I would do without friends like them. So many people came, and we received so much from our registry! I think that now we have everything we need to bring him home from the hospital and even a little more. Now the question is where will all of this stuff go? Our house is being taken over by all things baby! I spent most of the afternoon Sunday trying to figure out where to put it all. Having all of the supplies and stuff in the house makes me realize that WOW - it’s getting close - he will be here before we know it! Cory and I are very touched by the love and attention that has been shown to us and Colton. It is amazing to know how loved this baby is, before he is even here! (Check out the pictures in Crawford Family Photos under Baby Shower)

On another note….I went to the doctor last week and she said everything is still looking good. We are 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant today and Cory and I start our childbirth classes tonight. We will go for the next 3 Monday nights. WOW that also makes me realize that is it really getting close!!!
