If you haven't already heard or noticed the ticker on the side of the blog. It is true we are going to be a family of four. I went for my first dr visit on Monday and the dr said everything looked good. We were thinking I was 8 weeks but the baby is measuring 6 weeks and 3 days so our due date is set for January 5th. Our original plan was to wait until after Cabo but I guess God had other plans. :) We are very nervous but also very excited!!!
So far I have been feeling pretty good---I got pretty nauseaus a few days in a row but I think we figured out it was my prenatal vitamins so we switched those to dinner and all has been good. I am definitley tired but nothing I can't handle. Colton has actually been taking a 2-3 hour nap every day this week so I make sure to atleast try and rest while he is down. Overall it is going well though.
Our doctor now does a 16 week gender ultrasound so we will be finding out what we are having mid July.
Tonight we took Colton on a walk and played at the park for a bit. When we came in he was not too happy because he wanted to stay outside. Watch the video to see what happens (listen carefully for the bathtub water to begin in the background)...
We started the weekend of in San Antonio on Friday evening. Patty and Jody were there for the dental convention and we wanted to check out Clay's new house. We all met on the river walk for dinner and a boat ride. We had trouble finding a place that didn't have a huge line so we ended up at The Naked Iguana. After dinner we took a boat ride and learned some history of the river walk. It was VERY hot but fun! After dinner we headed to Clay's new house--we loved it!! (These pics are on the boat ride) Saturday morning we got up and headed to Austin around 10am so that we could be there in time for the A&M vs UT baseball game. When we got to our seats we realized they were in full sun. It was 92 degrees but felt like 102. Luckily after about an hour we spotted some seats in the shade that had not been occupied. We moved up there and it was much better! After the game we hung out at the hotel, met up with my friend Laura for a bit at the park (not long though since Colton was finally napping in the car) and then had dinner at the Hula Hut. We headed to bed early since Colton was sleeping in our hotel room and he wasn't going to sleep if we were still awake. He might be hot but he is still going to eat his corn dog!! We woke up Sunday morning and headed down to have breakfast in the hotel cafe while everyone else got ready for the day. Then we headed out for brunch at the Kerbey Lane Cafe where we exchanged Mother's Day gifts. Cory had originally planned to have XM radio set up in my new car but then after thinking about it I wasn't sure I really needed it yet. I decided I wanted to wait a bit longer to see if I changed my mind rather than spending the money and not using it. So instead he said he would take me shopping for some much needed new clothes. After brunch we headed home and spent the rest of the day napping and laying on the couch.
We had a great weekend and hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!!
Cory was on a golf trip and I needed to be in The Woodlands on Monday for a meeting with the web designers for the farm so Colton and I headed to Huntsville on Sunday for some fun at Mimi and Pops. Pop bought this John Deere Front End Loader long before Colton was even born and they have been dying for him to ride it. We got it out and tried it but his legs are still a bit too short. Not much longer though! He had fun anyways though with each of us taking turns pushing him around on it. Then he decided we weren't fast enough so he pushed it himself for a while.
